K-Laser treatment

At Brookmead Veterinary Surgery, we specialise in providing K-Laser treatments, which provide a range of benefits in veterinary treatment, including increased circulation, reduced inflammation, pain reduction and enhanced tissue healing. During each painless treatment, laser energy increases circulation, drawing oxygen, water and nutrients to the damaged area. K-Laser therapy has proved successful in a range of conditions and provides an alternative non-invasive treatment.

Alternative Treatments

Homeopathy is a system of medicine which treats animals using substances which can produce the same symptom picture in a healthy
patient. These remedies are given in a highly diluted form. For chronic or long standing conditions we require a very detailed history, so a first homeopathic consultation can last for an hour or more. One of our vets, Neil Coode is a qualified veterinary homeopath. Please contact us for further information.

Acupuncture was developed as part of traditional Chinese medicine. In recent years it has been adapted to Western methods of working. We primarily use it as an option for arthritis treatment though it has many other potential uses. We usually use traditional acupuncture needles, but for animals who find these uncomfortable we can stimulate points with our K-Laser. Acupuncture works well with K-laser pain relief therapy.

A well-equipped surgery

Your pet will receive the highest level of care and veterinary treatment for any routine surgery, including spaying, castrating and dental work as well as more advanced operations and treatments.

Know that your pet is in the best of hands

Our surgery is equipped with the latest technology, including X-ray, ultrasound scanning, endoscopy and ECG machines to efficiently diagnose any problems. We also have an in-house laboratory meaning we can do some routine tests cost-effectively with quick results.
